Steel is also far more rigid than lead, which eliminates the risk of shot deformation that can weaken pattern density. And because this is Winchester’s own Xpert steel, the shot pellets are highly resistant to corrosion which could have made them coarser and less aerodynamic.
This handy shell’s wad prevents its abrasive steel shot from harming your barrel, and its small compression zone mitigates felt recoil upon ignition.
