The laws of physics demand that every shotshell produces at least some recoil – but exactly how much depends heavily on the shotshell. If you want an easier time lining up fast shots or just wish to favor your arms and shoulder as much as possible while you’re shooting skeet, then Winchester AA Xtra-Lite will treat you right!
This 12 Gauge ammo has several features which soften felt recoil. Its shot column weighs 1/8 ounces less than is typical for a target shell. Its 1,180 fps muzzle velocity, while still effective for slapping fast-flying clays out of the air, is also relatively low. Finally, the AA wad’s hinged compression zone flattens down during ignition to make recoil feel even gentler still.
This round’s AA wad and hard, proven #9 shot pellets also work hand in hand to supply satisfyingly tight pattern density. And of course you get Winchester’s best-in-class primers and powder – not to mention reliable and reloadable low-brass hulls. (If you’re buying ammo for a semi-auto, check and make sure this 2-3/4 dram equivalent 12ga ammo would cycle it before investing in a whole case!)
