Details
Hornady is temporarily loading this ammo with non-plated brass cases due to the current unavailability of nickel.
Hornady takes the .357 Magnum “manstopper” cartridge to the next level with its FTX hollow point self defense load. The 125 grain polymer-tipped FTX jacketed hollow point leaves the muzzle at 1200 feet per second from a 2 inch barrel (and even faster from a full length barrel, up to 1500 fps at 8 inches), punching right through heavy clothing and other barriers to quickly incapacitate assailants. In case multiple shots become necessary, Hornady uses special propellants that reduce recoil and minimize muzzle flash to increase the shooter’s effective rate of fire.
Each round in this box of 25 uses Boxer-primed brass cases.
Hornady is a well-regarded manufacturer of premium bullets, which it produces at its headquarters in Grand Island, Nebraska. The company was founded in 1949 by Joyce Hornady; today, it operates under the leadership of his son, Steve Hornady, who assumed the role of CEO in the 1980s and built on his father’s legacy by bringing the company into the loaded ammo market. Hornady ammo has established a strong reputation in the police, self-defense, and hunting markets due to the strong performance of its bullets and the consistency and quality of its loads.
