This Winchester Super-X load is a fantastic duck and goose load for those birds that will already be taking flight at a distance, and where you must have a bit more velocity and mass on target because of the steel shot restriction.
The 2 ¾” shell length makes this a versatile round with a little less recoil, considering the large amount of steel shot and the advanced velocity.
It is a pretty plain round all-in, except the shot size and the lead free design. This is definitely a good deal for this type of hunting round because the cost to buy these rounds from other makers is substantially more.
Winchester has been making premium shotshells for a very long time and this load, while something of a specialty round, utilizes the best of what Winchester has to offer, from the high base to the quality hull and wad design to the sure ignition primer. It’s a solid value proposition for those who want to shoot specialty waterfowl shells without paying a ridiculous premium for the “privilege”.
