It’s not just any jacketed hollow point — it’s the Gold Dot! This 9mm +P round’s 124 grain bullet features a nose cavity that has been formed in two stages: the first to control the diameter that the bullet can expand to, and the second to control the rate at which it expands. Few bullets offer such controlled terminal effect.
A Gold Dot bullet’s copper jacket is bonded to its alloyed lead core via Speer’s Uni-Cor process. As the result the bullet’s components are nearly inseparable, even if they must make short work of a tough barrier en route to their target. The Gold Dot bullet is also extremely accurate, as its jacket is so uniformly thick.
This cartridge’s nickel plated casing produces very little friction as it cycles through a semi-automatic, and is less inclined to succumb to corrosive forces in the atmosphere. This +P round gives you the extra bit of juice that could turn a grim situation around in your favor — just make sure your weapon can handle the pressure!
