Winchester’s M855 cartridges make proper good all-around range ammo for any AR-15 rifle. And their bullets have a tactical applications as well with their penetrator projectile.
Each 5.56×45 cartridge in this pack of 200 has a 62 grain FMJ bullet – a little heavier than 55 grains to help it retain more momentum downrange, as well as reduce wind drift. The bullet’s lead core contains an additional seven grain steel penetrator tip. The bullet does a great job punching through steel plating.
Winchester geared up this target shooting and self-defense 5.56 ammo with newly fabricated brass cases, each drawn and tapered to industry standards to promote correct feeding and extracting. The cases are visibly gray where they were annealed for superior suppleness, and have a good lifespan for handloading. This ammo is non-corrosive, but it is quite naturally magnetic.
