The 6.5 Grendel was designed by Bill Alexander, a British-American armorer, and Janne Pohjoispää, a ballistician for Norwegian/Finnish defense company Nammo. Those are already four countries represented by just one cartridge. But if you’d like to add the Czech Republic to that list, then a box of Sellier & Bellot 6.5 Grendel is all you need!

This is a pure range and target cartridge thanks to its 124 grain full metal jacket. Sure – you could send a varmint to the netherrealm with an FMJ, but you really don’t want to try it out on a deer (unless you’re really good and wouldn’t be breaking the law). The best anyone can do with non-expanding FMJ ammo is keep it on the range.

But maybe you already know all that. If you’re just here for truth and logic, here goes: Sellier & Bellot recorded this round’s 2,576 fps muzzle velocity with a 23-1/2” test barrel. The bullet has a G1 0.400/G7 0.202 BC, and its lead core and CuZn 10 jacket make it nonmagnetic.

S&B loads reloadable virgin brass cases of their own creation, as well as non-corrosive Boxer primers and clean-firing propellant.
