The CX has all the makings of a choice lead-free bullet. Accuracy? Child’s play for the CX, which doesn’t create lead residue, is banded by grooves that reduce pressure and fouling, and minimizes drag with its boat tail and polymer tip.
The Heat Shield tip doesn’t merely immunize the CX’s sharp meplat against deformation. It also catalyzes expansion by ramming deep into the underlying nose cavity on impact. And because copper is so study – and because the CX’s mono-metal design isn’t capable of core/jacket detachment – you can reliably inflict the deep wound channel which isn’t possible without 95+ percent weight retention.
