I’m making my way to the trap range with a carton of Winchester AA. It’s fantastic 12 Gauge target ammo, because it lets me shoot comfortably all day.
This is a light target load, with a full helping of shot. That’s 1-1/8 ounces – around 461 beads – but its 1,145 fps muzzle velocity ain’t too hot.
Winchester makes a fine shot pellet. It’s round, and hardened with antimony. A shot pellet that hard won’t deform very much – and that’s not a load of baloney.
Winchester’s AA wad is the real deal. It compresses on ignition, which preserves shot sphericity and reduces felt recoil. I think that deserves recognition!
This 2-3/4 dram equivalent ammo sparks up without deviation or fail. And its high-brass hulls? They’re reloadable, so you won’t have to immediately order more in the mail.
